Overview

 

Through the course you will be able to react and execute effective CPR and general first aid techniques without stopping to think about how to perform various parts of a skill.

During the course, you will learn how to manage situations by simulating real life emergencies. You will learn skills that are safe, practical and effective.

The course is based around the implementation of effective and safe first aid in all environments. This includes the delivery of effective CPR, how to control bleeding, asthma management techniques, anaphylaxis steps, how to treat a broken bone effectively for the patient. As a participant you will learn how to deliver effective compressions to an infant, child and adult and practically deliver these to an infant and adult manikin on the floor. You will feel confident in your knowledge of emergency situations and how to react in these to ensure that the safety of yourself and others is your number one priority.

Online Modules
The online modules are self-paced and can take up to 4 hours to complete based on your previous experiences.

Practical Session
The face to face assessment session will be 4 hours. This will be dependent on your practical ability and level of competence in the tasks required.

This course is a blended model with online modules to complete before the practical assessment session.

You will be assessed via observation on the day of your class, with multiple scenarios being completed

Location will be dependent on the course that you select.
